Noooooo! West was a legend, I grew up with his portrayal of Batman having no idea how self aware his performance was.

I just bought the animated Batman feature last week on Blu-ray featuring him and Burt Ward, to join the movie and original TV series.

I remember him being in some sort of Hawaii Five O spoof in the 90s, but I can't remember what it was called.

Batman and Mayor West, I'm sure he did some stuff in between, but that's who he is in this household.

Loved Batman as a kid, him and Christopher Reeves introduced my generation to superheroes

Saw him recently in a 'Through the keyhole' episode with Kieth Lemon.

It seemed Adam West was still obsessed with his batman part, near on five decades ago. He was to all intensive purposes batman, and still lived the part.

Of course the dreaded danger of an actors life is typecasting, and then having to find work afterwords that tends to dry up, and he suffered from that.

But still all these years later will always be remembered as Batman, the one that could walk up walls horizontally 

He was my first memory of Batman...
