Page 1 of Best game you played in 2018?

I didn't play a huge number of different games, one of them was Pokemon Yellow (3DS virtual console) which I finally finished (apart from the last dungeon that you can do after The End screen), but I did play a few that I really liked.

• Superhot VR was very enjoyable, and most importantly for me completable in a few sessions
• Cuphead is not completable but so incredibly pretty... and hard, like VVVVV hard
• Zero-K has the worst most unmemorable name ever, but it's one of the best RTS games I've ever played, and its free (but you can buy DLC to donate), if you ever enjoyed Total Annihilation or Supreme Commander, you MUST try this

Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes on mobile is what I've played. Finally getting 7* Chewie last night was highlight of my year :)

I've played a little KOTOR as well, never played it originally, but some of the new swgoh toons come from it, and I have no idea who they are, so when it was cheap on Android and steam I got 1 and 2 :)



I used to love Total Annihilation, remember it slowing down on the massive fights, but still did all fights as both sides :)

Installed DOSBox the other day and installed the first Settlers. Yup, best game I played in 2018 by far.

The game I played most last year was "Nab The Parking Space Ahead of All The Other f***ers At The Doctors Surgery".  It's mostly a game of chance rather than skill, but the 3D panoramic graphics and Actual Reality really get your heart racing. I'm s*** at it.

My game of the year is Super Mario Odyssey. I have about 15 Switch games but this is the game my console has permanently installed.
I know it wasn't released in 2018, but that's when I purchased mine.

Prey and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, both excellent games.

I'm very excited for Desperados III now, given that the Shadow Tactics devs are making it.

Probably Hollow Knight.

Civ 5 much better than Civ 6 which I think says more about me than the games.

Isn't that the Civ curse? 1 was great, 2 sucked, 3 was brill, 4 not so good? Actually maybe I have 4 and it was fine I forget!
