Page 1 of [VIDEO] Parasite Best Picture 2020
Well major surprise winning best picture, and I didn't realise I watched it a couple of months ago :) it is a fantastic movie, amazing unusual unique script and if subtitles don't put you of WWAW
I wanted 1917 to win 😩, and I won’t
Sit and read subtitle for two hours missing the actors action plus me just listening n relaxing the damn flick ! Not my ideal of going to the movies , ok ok maybe I’m just getting old👩🏻🦳

Cinematography looks really good from the trailer.

Kids these days.
I reckon I could probably manage 2 hours of subtitles but there are an awful lot of movies on my haven't got around to yet so it won't be anywhere near the top.
It does occur to me to wonder how late they have to make the decision and is it a reaction to the flack over the 100% Caucasian list of nominees.

I am not young enough to know everything.
I think out of the entire list of nominees, I've probably only seen Once upon a time, Jojo Rabbit & Frozen 2. Brad's performance was OK, sot sure about oscar-worthy though. Jojo Rabbit should have got more, but glad to see Taika walking away with a gong for screenplay.
I find once you start with the subs you don't even notice and don't miss anything.
Thought DiCaprio was a possible winner in Once Upon (until I saw Phoenix in Joker) and Pitt superb too.
We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
"Sit and read subtitle for two hours"
You're not getting old yet! Wait till your hearing goes and you need the subtitles anyway!

As much as I appreciate good foreign films and sure from what I've seen in print so far, that it is a deserving winner, it kind of came out of nowhere.
Was this fixed to rehabilitate the Oscars in some way?
I don't know, frankly don't care but I was under the impression the actual voting was done at least a month or two ago so I would doubt it although that may have been in their mind even then before the so called outrage
