Journalists can get a bad rep and some do their damnedest to earn that but every piece of rope has two ends.
Writing like that is at the top end.

Obviously they rate him below their suggestions and given the present situation I'd prefer we walked away as well.

If anyone is not following Tifo on YouTube they're missing out, whatever team they follow.

10mins here on well argued transfer options for us

We seem to have beaten Bayern Munich 2.1 and that's all I know about that so far.
4.00am kick off was a stretch even for me.

With surprising speed Josh Kronke has replied to the letter from @AFC_WeCareDoYou

I'm sure the 95,000 and climbing that have now signed the petition have all read it and gone 'Oh that's alright then'

It amounts to 'Thank you for your interest in our affairs' but this time in an American accent.
Still relations have begun, it's a start.

Arsenal: 2019/2020

Well I suppose we have to and the first pre-season game seems as good as anywhere to start.

Colorado Rapids 0 Arsenal 3

Playing Stan's other team in Stan's stadium (Dick's Sporting Goods. Somehow appropriate)
I watched about the first 30 mins as it fitted in with my weird schedule.
A team that I would have needed an ID sheet with Squad numbers to follow, A good number of 'Who's he' and a couple of 'Is he still with us?'
The sound was about 90 seconds in front of the picture so watching it on mute meant snoring ensued and I gave up.
Little more than a training run out with no opposition to speak of.
Ozil, Sokratis and Mustafi (spit) having great fun warming up on the sidelines and seeming to enjoy doing nothing.

Emery may have learnt something from it but I didn't.

RE: 007's replacement...

TBH on Skyfall I'd have to watch the titles with the sound off.
That god awful monotonous drone from Adele used to get my hackles up enough when it was on the radio.

I am so far behind the curve with so many movies I should really have my membership of this site revoked.

RE: [VIDEO] Arsenal: A new beginning for the 2018/19 season

I thought there was a Premier league thread but you appear to be right, there ain't one.
Next season thread?
You may be right but I suspect it'll be one we'd rather forget.

RE: [VIDEO] Arsenal: A new beginning for the 2018/19 season

You may well have seen this already as it's trending on Twitter under #WeCareDoYou

I don't imagine it's going to make Stan choke on his morning Cheerios but when it's now his toy to do anything with there's not much else you can do.

EDIT: The alliance has it's own Twitter account as well

('Alliance', sounds like bloody Star Wars)

EDIT 2: Petition as well

This is all starting to feel a bit Ashley or Hicks and Gillet

RE: 007's replacement...

I'm way behind with Bond movies anyway, never even seen a Daniel Craig one but 007 is James, not Jamie, Bond.
If they want to make a 006 or 008 with a female lead then fine but, as happens sometimes in sport, if James is dead then the number needs retiring.

I'm not going to get all bent out of shape over it. When it's finished I'll have a look at the trailers and reviews and see what if I feel like lashing out on the over priced popcorn for it.

RE: Women's World Cup

Really?
A waste of energy.
In the great scheme of things I don't think 17 secs worth of 'F*** Trump' is going to shorten anyone's life appreciably and wide smiles were evident all round.

RE: Women's World Cup

I'd agree the best team won but certainly not the most likeable. There's a lot about American triumphalism to dislike.

I did enjoy Fox going live to a bar full of Yanks in France somewhere and the whole bar chanting '***k Trump' while he attempted to ignore it.

The full fixtures for the WSL are out on Wednesday apparently and I'll be having a look to see when Arsenal are playing LFC and EFC as I might try and get along.

There's a suggestion to play some of the fixtures before a Premiership game so that'll be a nice way to try and fleece the punters as there's no way they'll be clearing the ground between matches.

Do you remember phone booths and the many and varied uses they were put to, Superman excepted? Preferable to having your own mobile, I think not.

I drive a private hire and the state passengers leave it in even with me in the car does not give me any hope at all for the ideal scenario you paint.

RE: Women's World Cup

What's needed is a change in refereeing.
The on field ref and the one in VAR need to have equal authority.
Therefore need to be trained and used in pairs so there's complete trust and confidence between the two.

RE: Women's World Cup

I'd rather our happy Arsenal cloggies won it.
Van den Donk and Miedema.
Plus although they've just left Van Veenendal and Dom Bloodworth.

You could argue we lost that by the width of a bootlace but USA were better and the bloody wind up of their game management at the end.
Used to love it when Henry kept it in the corner for five minutes but a total pain when it's the other way round.

There must be a middle ground of people still capable of being persuaded by either side in any future referendum/election.

RE: Women's World Cup

Good match all round.
Norway didn't offer much of a threat till it was too late to matter but England certainly rode their luck to keep a clean sheet. The Yanks would certainly have punished those errors. Don't know enough about the French to say what sort of a threat they'll offer but the pundits seem to think they'd be preferable as an opponent.
