RE: Amazon Prime

Search for anything else and it's alright it's just films.
If I find out it's me being dumb I'll hold my hand up.

RE: Amazon Prime

No, the option to do that is there but it's just a useless search function and frankly trying to wade through their interminable structure of help options is more of my life than I'm prepared to spare.

Amazon Prime

Anyone on here with Amazon Prime.
Am I totally stupid or is their search facility on Prime video the most useless thing on the whole internet.

John Wick 3 and about the third choice is Stan & Ollie but not John Wick 1,2,or3.

Equalizer 2
First choice The Commuter no Equalizer either 1 or 2.

Any movie I put in and the choices bare no relation to the search term.

Was actually trying what passes for humour but there used to be something years ago called 'New skin'. An antiseptic gel that would set over a small wound.

I'm guessing you've tried all the other options.
Drain cleaner, plunger, one of those snake doo dahs.
Still have a hole in the plasterboard ceiling leading from utility room to garage from a leaking drainage pipe.
Too far from any entry point to try those options.

Any idea that the time off will be spent catching up on movies or gaming pure fantasy.
T'other half has a list.

EDIT: That's interesting. Just noticed the site is not on British summer time.

Stuff to do.

Have any of you found other stuff to while away all this spare time?

I've one recommendation on YouTube.
If anyone's a Cabin Fever fan. Radio comedy by John Finnemore.

Try this. Arthur is filing in some time

John Finnemore is for me one of the best comedy writers around and he can also act.
I hate him.

RE: Coping with the lockdown

Well that's gonna be it.
Went out to work tonight one hour and forty minutes with out a job, including a chat with another driver, at a distance, who'd also been out for 80 mins without one.
So back home and tell the company to switch me off for the duration.

I'll take it a week at a time and see if Tesco offer me a job or poverty overtakes me.
With the outside chance of homicide, victim or perpetrator, as I'll be in the house full time now. With wife, three adult kids and a two year old grandchild, oh and a hyper active dog.

Okay
Enjoyed the hell out of it.
As with practically anything in this whole genre at some stage or level you just have to go along for the ride.
I enjoyed this ride and I'm looking forward to season two.
With Guinan at least making an appearance I believe.

RE: Coping with the lockdown

Just cancelled the green bin collections (Garden waste)
Not to much of a problem as I think the tip's still open.

Getting real for me though. Despite the fact I'm still allowed to work as Private Hire is considered a key worker there ain't no work.
Most of the fleet seem to have switched off for the duration. I'm giving it till Tuesday as I'm already paid up for that.
Looking at applying to Tesco for a delivery driver job.
Even with the self employed deal it doesn't come in till June and I'm willing to bet they won't be processing 5 million payments all on the first of the month so who knows when it might arrive.

We're all just so used to getting it under one roof.

Most of you wont't know him but John Prine is in hospital, intubated and critical.
Put him into your chosen music streamer or YouTube.

This is why they don't like experts.
They tend to tell them things they don't like.

RE: Coping with the lockdown

How quickly would the world forget us.
Less than a week after the clubs and bars shut down and with virtually no people or cars.
A rabbit running across the road in the middle of town.

I wonder what it will do to the rat and seagull populations as we've removed their main food source.

Without reading the article, pushed for time right now, maybe they're gambling on having a healthier population overall.

Either way we/they will find out soon enough.

The decision whether to lock down or not largely depends on the amount of ICU care available per capita.
Maybe they have a lot more capacity than us.

RE: Coping with the lockdown

Defined as a key worker so at the moment my self isolation involves waiting (interminably) for the next job.
Practically nobody is moving about that doesn't have to.
I'm even getting through nearly a week without the car smelling of weed at some stage.

Huge amount of drivers seem to have logged off for the duration.
Maybe even more when they announce what they are doing for the self employed. If at all possible I'll be joining them.

Luckily as a household we are all in work that qualifies as key worker and my wife has been home based for several years.
Many more in considerably worse state than us.

Does he not seem to be enjoying this on one level of imagining himself in Churchill mode.
Though from my viewpoint it's more in the Jim Hacker style.
