The separation was never ever ever used by previous administrations and im surprised you should use trumps fake news crap when it is 100% his policy, he could scrap it with one stroke of his pen. this is trump pure and simple.

There is absolutely no justification for this whatsoever, and Trump totally owns this (along with his self-serving GOP stooges).

He couldn't care less that babies and toddlers are ripped away (literally at times) from their parents.

Apparently one ruse was to say to parents the children are just being taken away to be washed... where have we heard that before?

Trump has turned out to be far worse than I ever could have imagined. I note the vile pustule is coming here on Friday 13th. I hope his visit is a miserable one.

It's only positive in trying to force the outcome he wants, nothing more...

My understanding, and that's all it is at the moment, is that the policy to prosecute 100% of illegal immigrants is his policy but the legislation to separate families is decades old and can only be corrected with the help of Congress.

I may well be wrong on that, so happy to be corrected.

Here's some youtube clips that are quite interesting in light of this subject:

Bill Clinton in 1995:

Hilary Clinton:

Note what she says about children specifically.

So it appears that Trump was almost certainly playing to the crowd as he has now signed an executive order to keep families together.

On the other hand:

Republican congressional leader Paul Ryan said the House of Representatives will vote on Thursday "on legislation to keep families together".

He did not immediately provide details of the bill, but said it resolves the issue of so-called Dreamers, undocumented adult migrants who entered the US as children, "in a very elegant way".

So, it looks suspiciously to me as if this was a deliberate baiting of Congress by Trump as I said.  Abhorrent way to do it, but he cackhandedly got his point across and got the Congressional resolution he was seeking.

Not quite sure now why he needed to do that, we may find out, we may not...

Saw something on the twitter yesterday about Scott Adams, the Dilbert cartoon creator and staunch Trump supporter. He said he would be downloading rival tracks to try and stop American Idiot topping UK chart. Someone pointed out to him that buying on the US chart had no effect on UK chart position. He called the poster a Nazi and blocked them. Trump supporters ladies and gents...

that saddens me, I love Dilbert, and usually like what Scott Adams has to say, but then that's usually IT stuff, not political stuff :(

Same. :( It's odd too, Dilbert is a satire of corporate culture, surely Trump is corporate culture to it's extreme?

I would struggle to associate 'culture' with Trump in any context.
Unless accompanied by 'lack of''
