What a crazy show to compete with `Britains got Talent`.

First of all there is four motorised chairs so the Judges (Tom Jones, Wil-i-am, Jesse J, and some Irish bloke) can sit on them and wiz around on them.

This allows them to listen to the contestants, as the judges chairs are turned away from the singer, and judge by voice alone.

The real demeaning part to the judge was, that the contestant had the right to pick the judge they want as their mentor, and it was cringe-worthy watching these judges say `pick me, pick me`.

Also the name dropping was crazy, with Tom Jones saying he sang with Elvis, and Wil-i-am saying he was with Micheal Jackson. All this to imprese the contestant to pick them, Urgh !

Mind you there is always something about reality shows, that want you to tune in for more of their rubbish

While it claimed to be fresh and original, it veryu quicky sank into old, old territory, with the sob story VT before the performance. However, two things made it stand out. First, the guy from 5ive getting royally ignored, and secondly..

Agree `Britain got talent` was not much better with new judge David Walliams toadying up to Simon Cowell, like he was his long lost twin brother.

And as for the talent, well once again it was well chosen in advance on who would get on stage, with the final act being another `sensation` pavaroti wanabe - NOT !.

Well second week in and `The Voice UK` format is getting better. and I am starting to like it.

At least the talent does not get run down and made a fool of, like in BGT.

As for the rating wars, The voice is winning over viewers.

I am really getting into `The Voice` now, it is far better than BGT, and that would not be too hard

I want to bring this to your attention guys, as we are now finished with the blind auditions, where the judges turn their chairs around so they cannot see the performers.

Anyway, they have now picked 40 contestants with good voices, (most are single acts, and there are a few couple acts), and this weekend is BATTLE WEEKEND, where Saturday and Sunday will have the contestants battling each other in song, two at a time singing the same song at the same time, to reduce them down to 20 acts left.

This will be interesting !

I haven`t seen it this weekend, but my sister made me watch it last weekend...I wasn`t impressed...four people who think they`re better than everyone else sitting there saying "I shouldb`ve pressed the button, you were so great, it is all the other judges fault I didn`t press the button, but you were amazing" and then trying to make themselves out to be so special to the contestant...I suppose it didn`t help that I can`t stand Tom Jones, and would rather poke pencils through my TV than watch him lol.

Agree quite a lot about what you say on the Judges as they are a bunch of big heads and ego`s to suit, but the singing of the contestants is good, and there is no `listen to those duffers for a laugh` that you get on BGT.

But that`s what I watch those reality "talent" show thingies for!  I used to only ever watch the first couple of a series for the entertainment then not watch the rest :)

To be honest, they also got rid of the one guy I`d particularly liked the week I watched, which on top of everything else, was just too much lol

I am actually really impressed with it. The dynamic between the judges is good I think and each person on the panel has achieved at a high level, unlike judges on certain other shows (I`m looking at you Holden and Minogue)..

The manipulation of the audience and contestants, so far, is minimal and it`s a question of whether the acts are good enough without feeling the need to take the p155 or put through acts and champion them as brilliant when the entire world knows otherwise.

Quite rightly the show is concentrating on being a talent show in the way Popstars did all those years ago before X Factor just took it to a money making farce.
