Never did find out the reasons behind his departure from Everton and the reception he subsequently got. A confidentiality clause too I seem to recall.

Um, I`m really not sure saying that "it seems he hanged himself" is giving the gory details? I think perhaps you are being somewhat Paullist on this one. ;)

I feel its like a race with him, i know something u dont, i have something u dont......no need to mention if the bloke did hang himself never mind saying it without it being gospel.....god help if his family was reading in here whether it is right or wrong :(

It was clearly something around Howard Kendall`s thrid disastrous reign as Manager. Regardless, Speed was a great player and skipper and always a true Evertonian.
