saw a post on hukd reduced from 5.49 to 69p

turn based action fighting rpg, sounded interesting, for 69p worth a punt on something without getting put off by adverts, or suggestions to buy stuff in free games.

anyway, so far so good, pretty good, choose a team of 6 bad guys, and fight other teams choosing spells, hand to hand etc, sort of as you'd expect.

I've played it an hour or so, so I think I have my money's worth :)

There's quick battles as well as campaign mode, which is what I want rather than having to be bogged down in a story mode if i just want to kill 5 mins

Demon's Rise is very good, money well spent.

got GameCube down from loft while putting away Christmas decorations, set it up today.

Few race and battles of Mario Kart with the girls, which they liked, 1080 was too hard for them i.e. they're too impatient to learn how to play it, same with THPS2.

However The Urbz Sims spin off kept them busy a while, as did the Sims 2 :(

I think I'll play some 1080 when they haev gone to bed, it's probably in this thread somewhere when I played it last ;) i remember it being "serious" i.e. it's not very pick up play, but quite rewarding when you get the hang of it.

im playing marvel strike force on phone, enjoyed it but now unless you spend cash its impossible to improve unfortunately

lol, yes, I played that for a while, it's more or less the same as the Star Wars game I play, SWGoH, you don't have to whale, but it's unfortunately slow progress if you don't, and you'll never compete with the "big boys"

Just finished War Mongrels a few days ago. A very nice Commandos-like to satisfy my thirst for real-time tactics (an unfortunately barren genre). Very similar to Partisans 1941, but much harder hitting. Loved every second of it.

Currently about half way through Resident Evil Village. Hated it at first due to the constant immersion breaking cut-scenes and scripted bullshit, but it has enough of the RE formula in the mid-game to sustain my interest.

After a recommendation on these very pages, I stuffed out my HD with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. One of the more impressive aspects for me is the characters' realistic movements & mannerisms during the cutscenes. There's just the tiniest inflections & movement that place it a cut above something more dedicated to that medium such as Detroit: become Human. 

The game itself is more of the same, with harder puzzles (one would hope), but at the moment I'm more or less in one village and the story is just branching out from there, where the other games made better use of the map. That said, i'm at 36% so I daresay there's a whole other world I haven't seen yet.

I will say though, if I'm playing in fullscreen I am suffering from FPS lag, where the movement seems to slow then catch up every second. I've done a couple of remedial steps which seems to have quelled it slightly and the game is playable, but it's still a distraction when the screen gets busy

The missus is really enjoying FF7 remake on the ps4, she keeps commenting on how pretty is is, she never played the PSOne version, but for me it's weird walking in the room and seeing what a vaguely remember looking so nice, i loved it on ps1 originally and I completed it, one of few games I did all side quests etc! Couldn't get into the combat one this one, but was enjoying it, she said she put it on easy though!

She just said something nearly made her cry, but not the famous bit, had to bite my tongue, and not say "wait till...." when many a grown man was reduced to tears!
