As you  say 'interaction', there was camaraderie and hatred.

Comaraderie on how they dealt with prisoners, giving them respect and getting along with them.

Hatred in heat of battle, with the story of the German machine gunners putting their hands up in surrender and were shot down instantly by Brits who had just seen their mates slaughtered by these guns.

War is hellish and not a good part of mans nature.

For anyone who missed it.

Like me who stupidly assumed it would be on iPlayer for more than the single bloody week it was.
