Did Titanic do well because of the SFX or the sx?
Seriously i would watch Brief Encounter (you can all pop round with some chocs and a hanky but some youngsters don`t have an attention span, they watch telly so are used to s*** camera angles and maybe have forgotten/never knew what is possible...ya ya

in the 60s there was a really hit musical the little known Sound of Music (!)and that spawned some belly flops in its wake...can`t wait ;)

I put money on it we get a remake of Cabaret. ;)

Managed to avoid this so far but I do find it rather amusing that Pierce Brosnan, who by common agreement couldn`t carry a tune in a bucket, has sold more DVDs than practically any other recorded singer, ever. :)

Apparently Mamma Mia is the fastest selling DVD in UK history, according to the people who give a s*** about these things. Christ.

Can`t you all just accept that something not very good can be extremely popular? Mamma Mia is nothing dramatic in an age obsessed with `celebrity` culture and X-Factor types dominating our music charts...
