Space has never been so sexy. :) This movie oozes sex (and space).
The plot is a typical space exploration one - a call for help, a crippled ship, an alien life form and so on.
The video transfer is ok. While there are a couple of scratches and dust particles especially during the first half of the movie, the special effects are really nice.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is excellent. It especially excels during the "Plasma jump". The combination of the visuals and the audio (assuming you are well equipped audio-wise) is overwhelming. I actually watched that scene about half a dozen times just to re-live the experience.
    The menus are simple.
The extra features include almost a dozen deleted scenes (including an alternate beginning and ending).
Bottom line - not a lot of actual acting here, but very enjoyable, especially to effects lovers.

Supernova seems to be universally(no pun) hated by critics, yet when viewed purely as eye candy it`s an entertaining, if unoriginal, 1h-30 mins of entertainment. It should of been better but it wasn`t so you`ll just have to forgive it`s shortcomings and just switch off and enjoy!
