When I ws small, the flumps was a big part of my life. They taught me all I needed to know.

So when I went into smiths and saw the complete flumps on dvd, I had to have it. Three hours of flumps heaven for just 9.99, what else could I do. Seriously though, if you ever liked the flumps when yoiu were little, buy this disc. Even buy it for your kids as it beats most of todays kids tv into a cocked hat.

The video is ok. 4:3 is the original framing, so no complaints there, and the prints seem to have been cleaned up, but still show signs of wear, but not to the point of distraction. It certainly seems to be better than I remember seeing it on tv.

The sound is in stero, and is clear and bright, again not bad for such old stock.

The extras on this disc are non existent, which may be forgivable at the price, but it would have been nice to see something, even a preview of future kult kidz releases. The menu is incredibly annoying, and is the worst part of this disc, and there doesn`t seem to be any way of stopping it coming up.

Overall, for three hours of classic tv nostalgia (you will remember the episodes as you start to watch them) you can`t beat this. Roll on more kult kidz...

    Pass me flumpet Pootle....
