Orville looks more like Star Trek than this...

The trailer on this site (the US Geolocked CBS All Access trailer) is a lot better.
All Access? Is that irony?

Well that was a mess, i mean a complete train wreck of a pilot, Klingons reimagined again and look nothing like they did in any previous incarnation, main character possibly the most unlikeable (certainly by me) in any series i can remember, her actions were completely wrong and how in the hell they can get her from the brig to an active member of any crew (i mean who will ever trust her again? i certainly wouldn't), On the plus side i did like the captain, unfortunately she's gone, i didn't really get the premise, it made no sense at all to me and I can see why there were murmurings before it was released and why it was delayed. I will try for another couple of episodes but the 1st 2 leave a lot to be desired.

I enjoyed it! It's hard to get upset about them reimagining the Klingons again, because well this is hardly the first time!
I liked Sonequa Martin-Green as a human trained on vulcan, but this might also be because I liked her in The Walking Dead as Sasha.
Lt. Saru is probably the only other stand out character at the moment.
SPOILER:
Not sure how they are going to work their way out of having her imprisoned for life though.
