is this where we crucify one of our best players for 1 bad mistake for the next 4 years, ignoring lack of support from teammates, and the fact Spain are better on the night? :(

they gave it a good go, there's always next time.

will be interesting to see how much more popular women's football get, both channels showing the final, shows they're expcting a lot of interest

Gutsy performance all round, yes you can pick on a player for a mistake but there was ample opportunity to make it right.
Hitting the bar and that Laura James shot just being tipped over.

Spain are much better at close control than we are and I thought for all the courage shown we were a pace short too many times.

Lets hope Sarina fancies another four years.

Consider this.
Women's football was still banned in 1966 and there's only been a professional league since 2018.

it's funny isn't in, Mulan was on TV last night, and there's been several players saying they had to pretend to be boys to play football at school, if the girls weren't allowed to play in their teams!

at my girls' primary school, they have a girl only session 1 night a week, BUT the girls can also play on the boys' night with the boys as well. 1 of mine is happy to do both, as are some of the other girls, but there are some girls who only want to do ( or are only allowed by parents on?) the girl sessions, so it's a pretty good situation at their school.

Well a bit of honesty maybe called for, imho England were never good enough to win it, in fact pretty fortunate to get so far

That could have gone either way, but Spain were worthy winners.

We gave everything, can't help but wonder if things would have been different without some ACL injuries but an amazing run anyway.

Yes, felt sorry for Leah and Beth.
Just hope Sarina fancies another four years.

Their scorers mind must be in so many pieces right now poor girl.

Fifa suspended Rubiales for 90 days, not enough for someone who doesn't see the problem. Fifa should ban all the people who clapped his refusal to resign too.

How could the Women's World Cup fail the Bechdel test?

What gets me is the Spanish FA gaslighting the players who protested and refused to play.

I gather Rubiales is to the Spanish FA as Trump is to the GOP
