Been listening to Grinderman album quite a bit over the past few days and getting well into it, which suggests I should go back to Grinderman 1.

Also loving the Cee Lo Green.

For a new recommendation the new Kanye West album is really good, but in fairness that`s all that`s been going around everywhere so not really a big find from me. The blokes and absolute tit, but fair play he is good at making music.

Little Dragon- Machine Dreams


It`s quite chilled electro music, but also quite funky aswell.  I really like it, they featured on few Gorillaz songs from the last album aswell.

Metallica `..and justice for All`

Got it for Christmas.. last time I listened to this was on my Aiwa cassette walkman MANY moons ago.
Forgot just how good it is.

really good hardcore/punk, reminds me of Suicidal Tendencies and Sick of it All

**** Buttons - Tarot Sport

I had  heard of them as "next big thing" which is enough to put me off most bands but this is good, again electronic music with "real" instruments, quite interesting

Pulled Apart By Horses

Another punk band my mate really likes, ok, nothing that interesting/different so far.

Sleigh Bells - Treats

Really like this, was thinking it was like  a heavier, more interesting Ting Tings, looked them up on wikipeda
 and that`s what they are :)

quite metal /punk in an ST way in places so like it \m/ :)

Also bough a few new John Zorn CDs recently which are good, especially Ipsissimus which is the latest Moonchild/Astronome release. The re release of Naked City Black Box is good and comes with a really nice booklet. One of the things I love about buying Tzadik CDs is that their packaging is always really interesting, and intricate, good booklets etc with art, or interesting info etc.

Also been relistening to old Goldie, Chemical Bros, Prodigy as misus go t anew MP3 player recently for the gym, so I had to fill that up for her.

Sleigh Bells have been hyped up in quite a few places, but remember when I checked them out wasn`t too keen, will have to have another blast. The Ting Tings reference puts me off though!!!

Quite like The Joy Formidable, lots of people raved about them so got tickets to see them for gig in a few weeks. Been listening to A Baloon Called Moaning EP though and quite into them.

The other reason I wanted to see them was because the similar artists on Last.fm were Arcade Fire and Yeah Yeah Yeahs and wouldn`t say they are that similar, but could see why fans of either of them might like them.

Will update what they are like in a few weeks though after seeing them.

there`s some quality bands on there I haven`t heard in years! Funnily enough, the only other time I`ve bought Mojo is when they did the Sub Pop 300 cover CD a couple of years ago.
