What`s your IQ?

Issac Hunt (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 12th May 2002, 18:06

I`m sure you`ve all got better things to do on a Saturday night, but just wondered if anyone endured the annoying Anne Robinson and did that IQ test thing? I know it`s a load of old cobblers and I never trusted anyone who knew their IQ (or tried to get in Mensa) but... come on, how did you do? :-)

Three of us got p***ed up and did the quiz on Saturday night (how sad are we). Not telling you the scores. I will say we all got over 100, though.

I didn`t bother doing a multiple choice exam with Philip Schofield and
Anne `Devil Woman` robinson invigilating

I watched Harry Potter instead.

Now who`s the intelligent one?

I did one a few years back and got a score of 138. Shows I am smart enough not to watch tripe like Harry Potter :-)

We tried to get Harry Potter but it was out, so we booked it for tonight.

So we`re not `that` sad and thick, LOL.

OK. Mine is.... well, it`s the same as Jonathon Edwards (who does the hop, skip and jump for a living... durh!) If you didn`t see it, he was the brainiest "celebrity" and Dane Bowers (?) was second!

Harry Potter? Could be worse. Could have watched Schumacher winning the "Scaletrix"!

IQ tests are an extremely good way of testing how good you are at completing IQ tests. Isn`t it funny how the more you do these tests, the better your score gets every time - presumably your IQ is improving... Or is it that these tests follow a particular format that can be learned?

And as for those people who join Mensa: Gary Bushell, Sir Clive "C5" Sinclair... I rest my case!

The unfairly maligned Sir Clive...

`Sir Clive "C5" Sinclair...`

Why not Sir Clive "Spectrum" Sinclair, or Sir Clive "first ever affordable pocket calculator" Sinclair? It`s a damned shame that Clive is known for the crap things he did, and not the decent stuff which made his name originally ;-)

As for Garry Bushell though, fair enough.

Don`t forget Jimmy Saville! He`s a member of MENSA too.

BTW, my IQ - higher than 100, which is nice...
