Weekly shop, one day after the masks became law again.

Half the people wearing masks, half of those as chin-warmers, and most of the shop staff unmasked…

So what are your plans for Christmas lockdown 2021?

doesn't help that the supermarkets are not enforcing the mask mandate

just had an email from the kids' school asking parents to wear masks again for pick up and drop off, they may as well ask them to not use phones, as most of the mums the whole time seem incapable of wearing masks, and keeping any distance from next person in queue :(

they still gather in a heard chatting outside the gates

I have a lot of sympathy for the staff, being asked to confront shoppers is not something they should be expected to do.

yeh, I don't know if they're expecting the security guard to also be mask police, or get one of the shop staff to do it?

I mean the poor girl the other day when i was buying alcohol,  apologised she had to get authorisation, as she was under 18, I said that's fine, that's the rules, I can wait, but she told me some of the abuse she got the other day when she refused to serve some kids she knew were under age, and what she was threatened with :(

So I guess they'll need 2 guards, 1 for shoplifters, 1 for face masks

Last week, I tried to book a booster at my GP, wasn’t on the list.

Today, turned up at a walk-in centre, gave my name and DOB, and fifteen minutes later I’m out of there, all boosted up.

The gap is down to three months now, in the latest non-panic by the govt. The booster program has also been opened up to everyone over 18, although they're doing it in reverse age order, and clinical need.
