people really shouldn`t get excited about getting rid of these people... as it costs more in teh long run, huge severances, pensions made up, and then have to employ some other `wit of a banker` in their place!

But at least when this blows over we wont have to see his perma smile plastic face in the business section of the paper, until he gets a top job at GlaxoSmithKline or the like.

It does often seem like if an individual cons you out of money, it`s fraud, but when a rich well paid banker does something similar it`s just business.

I still don`t believe that there is anything special about the people who run many big companies/banks and get paid obscene amounts of money.

Apart from the fact that if someone / some people many levels under them (in terms of managerial hierarchy) screws up then they have to take the blame and quit.

The banking industry really needs to sort itself out for the ones that use it, ie, us.

Because, there is so little interest geting paid out to savers, they are making so much profit, that just do not know what to do with it.

Whilst I sometimes see that with politicians, rarely do I see it with big business. In fact mostly I see "company announces record losses" followed by a month later "boss of same company gets bonus".

It all depends on how it is reported and what exactly has happened.
I`m not sure if you`ve done much in the way of accountancy, but those `losses` can be very misleading so often should be taken with a pinch of salt.
