Should i go to the Docs?

skirpy (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 12th June 2012, 23:20

Hi,

I never go to the Doctors for anything, not been in years but have these strange syptoms that are getting a bit annoying.....

For the past few weeks i have woken up in the morning to find my pinky fingers completely numb! sometimes it`s the two fingers but mostly one.

This morning i woke up with my right pinky numb and usually it goes away but today  i am left with a pins and needles feeling all day long and it still has not left.

I am not sleeping on my hand, i lie on my back and wake up with my hands on my chest but with numb pinky fingers?

For the past few months i have been getting by on 5 hours sleep a night and doing a 12 hour working shift after it....maybe it`s catching up with me?

Anybody experienced anything like this?

I was thinking it may be Carpal tunnel syndrome but i think that affects the thumb and middle finger.

After reading some info and watching some vids i think it may be caused by hitting my wrists and elbows off machinery at work, i mentioned before that i am near blind in one eye and don`t have any depth perception because of my mono vision....this makes me quite clumsy at times and i am always banging my elbows off something, maybe i have hit a nerve.

mbilko, i don`t suffer from spots myself but i am always reading up on vitamins health and nutrition, my nephew has really severe acne and i have been trying to find something for him.....you should give wheatgrass a try, i have been using it to clear up a bit of psoriasis i get now and again and my nephew has been using it for a short while and thinks it may be helping.

Sounds like it could be your circulation.  I frequently wake up with numb hands, but I put it down to my blood pressure meds.

Same as you Mark. I suggest he go to the doc. Can`t do any harm. For years I had athlete`s Foot. Tried all the creams. Eventually went to the doc. Turned out I was type 2 diabetic. Doc gave me meds and the foot stuff went away.

I would go to the doc, it can`t hurt and if it is anything serious, then at least they can sort it out for you :)

You should definitely go, because it`s probably something worth looking at whilst not being cancer, so you can go and not worry about being given a year to live. :)

Following my own advice, I have a date with a colonoscope in the next few weeks.  Always better be safe than sorry.  You might ignore something for years, then one day it drops off. ;)

Yeh, go to the docs. I had an absess recently on my ass, and you get beyond embarasment when it comes to pain, so its worth going.

PS..... I see some members on here have blood circulation problems, well there is a good herbal remedy that needs no prescription and works well in keeping good blood flow.

i take one pill a week and its..... 30mg Ginkgo Biloba.
Just ensure that blood thinning is ok for you, and not affecting other medicines you are taking.

You can get these at Holland & Barrett or such decent stores, but do not go for cheap Poundstore versions as they are rubbish and do not work.
