Crime Genre?

Gavski (Elite) posted this on Monday, 2nd July 2007, 13:19

I`m taking over as Head of Media Studies next term - with the Year 13`s they have to study "Crime Genre" I need to put together a program of films for them to watch to increase their knowledge and show them examples of different films/tv in this genre....

So far I have the obvious:

Godfather
Goodfellas
Taxi Driver
True Romance
CSI
Midsummer Murders (btw way I HAVE To show them these)
Morse
Marple
Oceans 11
The Departed

To name a few

But can you think of any other genre busting, president setting films/tv shows?

Cheers

Gav

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad

Memento (the perils of amnesiac vigilantism)

Also, is "president setting" code for "present day setting"?

if you can, there is something called the trial. what was on years ago. it shows a trial from three points of views and was controversial at the time for showing bent coppers.

i would say made in britain would be a better choice than scum/..

MiB deals with crime, and the reasons for it, than Scum does. which probably, if you think about it, is more about retribution..
