Livingstone: How awful for you. Have you thought of having treatment?

Mr Livingstone: Have you thought of having treatment?

Finegold: Was it a good party? What does it mean for you?

Mr Livingstone: What did you do before? Were you a German war criminal?

Finegold: No, I`m Jewish, I wasn`t a German war criminal and I`m actually quite offended by that. So, how did tonight go?

Mr Livingstone: Arr right, well you might be [Jewish], but actually you are just like a concentration camp guard, you are just doing it because you are paid to, aren`t you?

Finegold: Great, I have you on record for that. So, how was tonight?

Mr Livingstone: It`s nothing to do with you because your paper is a load of scumbags and reactionary bigots.

Finegold: I`m a journalist and I`m doing my job. I`m only asking for a comment.

Mr Livingstone: Well, work for a paper that doesn`t have a record of supporting fascism.

Normally I`d agree, but given the Olympic committee is in town, the repercussions could be worse than usual. Of course if it does prove damaging to the olympics bid it couldn`t possibly be the media`s fault for blowing somehting out of proportion. >:(

FWIW, I think that if the transcript is accurate, then KL should apologise for any unintentional offence caused. Being buttonholed by the press 24/7 must be infuriating, but he`s a big boy now and after all this time he should be able to cope, and regardless of the leanings of certain newspapers, there`s no excuse for being that offensive.

He should apologise to the London rate payers for the party he had just come from,a party for Labour MP Chris Smith,it had been 20 years since he had declared he was gay and for some reason it was decided that a party should be thrown and payed for by the London rate payers to celebrate...Let Chris Smith pay for is own f***ing party,after 20 years on the gravy train Im sure he could afford to >:( >:(

Yep - the most ridiculous waste of £4k of tax-payers money ever. A party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Chris Smith`s "coming out". What the f**k is that all about? I recently celebrated 38 years of being a heterosexual. Can I have a party too, Ken?

And if Associated Newspapers are fascists, why was Ken the Evening Standard`s guest restaurant critic from 1996-2000? Nothing to do with free meals and a huge expenses tab, I suppose?

He was their freelance restaurant critic for a couple of years or so in the 1990`s. He hasn`t actually done it for several years now.

This all poses an interesting question, I feel. :)

Can nobody compare anybody to a concentration camp guard unless they are Jewish?

It also reminds me of another question, relating to how a predominantly Jewish country could happily steal land and murder innocent people of another race in the process, having themselves suffered (albeit on a far greater scale) similar aggression at the hands of others.
