Ridley Scott no longer directing. :( But he's still producing:

Just hope they make a good job of it as Blade Runner was an ionic Si-fi movie.

The music by Vangelis, the atmosphere of the sets, the brilliant actors for the parts, it was just one of those non hyped up films at the time with little publicity if I remember, and it spread by word of mouth, I was stunned by it when I went to the cinema to see it.

Although not taking great box office records, it ending up being a best seller with regard video sales, and later DVD. Everyone eventually got to see it. Weird that it has taken so long to think of doing a sequel.

Curious about this one, and the soundtrack sounds as if a Vangelis job...

You right music does sound Vangelisy, but after looking at the new trailer, I just cannot see it beating the iconic first film.

But somtime's a sequel can be as good as, we wait and see.

It'll probably be like the recent Alien prequel, good but lacking the iconic tag as you say.
