is now available for HTC sensation XE users.

just downloaded it (282MB).

seems smoother than the previously installed 2.4.3(?) software.

p.s. i`m on orange and my cousin is on o2 and we`ve both upgraded
this morning.

Is it possible to put a decent version of Android on a touchpad yet? I`d like to switch my Dad`s pad to Android because webos is just too limited (horrible email client, horrible keyboard...)

AFAIK it`s been possible for a while Alfie but my mate who`s right into it has said the latest ICS build for it seems sooper.

Haven`t tried it myself so don`t shoot the messenger n all that...

I have it running on an unlocked sensation, downloaded yesterday. Seems smoother and upto now the only issue I had was updating flash player via the play store, I had to do it via a webpage,

STILL WAITING

I ordered a Galaxy Note over the Nexus back in November, the specs were far better than the nexus but without ICS. Then Samsung confirmed ICS was on it`s way to the S2 and Note imminently, it`s been available for the S2 for a little while now and there is a leaked version available for my note but still waiting on public build for Note!

So who is using Ice Cream Sandwich on their phone these days?

I have one on its way to me that uses this OS and I`m really looking forward to it. I`ve had the same phone for 4 years and it`s like a dinosaur (Nokia 5800 running symbian) and I really wanted to come into the 21st Century.

On a really tight budget so it`s one of those chinese clones - basically the Sony Xperia S but labelled a Star x26i for about a third of the price. Looks good.

Sue,

been using ICS since i originally posted about it being released.

there are quite a few changes from previous iterations (gingerbread etc) and
it appears to be very stable. not had any crashes or lock-ups since installation.
it also seems to manage internal (RAM) memory better too... i always seem to have
150MB or more available which is 50MB more than i used to have?

i also like the fact that (on my phone at least) i can hold down the "home" icon and
all of my recently run progs/apps appear in a list. i can then wipe them off the screen
sideways to remove them from memory (a bit like the palm pre).

disappointed... i thought this was about two wafers, with some lovely vanilla icecream in the middle!  I am so not technically minded?
