Some of those finders can be dodgy though - or be a false positive in AV tools.
Which key though - not the one on the sticker?

As Miles has pointed out there are loads of programs out there, I`ve used various different ones at one time or another, sorry can`t remember which.

Some may give you a false positive on your anti virus software, but some genuinely may be bad, so be careful. I think the first one that comes up from Miles` link http://magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/ is reputable.

I`m sure Hiren`s has something on there

That`s the one on the Hiren`s Boot CD that I use. Applies to XP & Vista (32bit).

Sorry. It is XP. They can`t find their CD :/ . But it is genuine & came with the laptop when new. Thanks everyone for the help.
