AVG - Latest Update

Just removed this after it caused me nothing but trouble yesterday after the latest update.

Not alone in having issues.

I left AVG when version 9 came out, just killed my machine hogging resources. Using AVAST now seems to be much better at resource management no probs with viruses or anything either.

AVG was grinding to a halt, so I switched to MSE which was OK for a while. Nice and simple to use, but for some reason it refused to update virus definitiions after a while on both of my systems..

Now using Avast with no problems (so far)

I have Avast running on my gaming pc, have done for a while, does a good job of keeping things lean and mean :)

I`ve got the M$ one on my laptop, which I just use for surfing, and it seems fine.

Comodo on the PII450 is good to

I used to be massive AVG fan and used to recommend it, had it installed on all my machines, but as each PC has been rebuilt AVG has been replaced with something not so bloaty :(

It`s  a shame, as as well as the fact it was free, it`s lack of bloat was the other main reason it was better than Norton, but from what I read about Norton, the new home version is bloat free.

The corporate endpoint one however does really slow down some machines while doing a full scan, but apart from that it`s ok.

Same for me, it got to the point where the computer just semed to be running for the purpose of AVG.
It turned into a real system hog.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I`m on AVG 9. Last week it did an update on my desktop XP & when it restarted it frooze, nothing moved not even the mouse pointer. Went into safe mode, system restore a day & all is now fine.
On my Vista laptop it did the same type of upgrade with no problems.

Ditch it Paull - MSE or Avast, you won`t look back.  The Avast on-access scanner has saved my ass before I even knew it needed saving. :)

I have MSE and Avast running together without any apparent conflict.

I ditched it when it completely missed a virus. Went back to Avira.
