Anyone got a V+ box?

xfg (Elite Donator) posted this on Wednesday, 18th November 2009, 12:28

I`m thinking about getting a V+ box, but the small print says existing customers still have to keep their old box at £5/month or pay £150 installation. We don`t really have a need for a second box. Has anyone had any success in getting them to waive this requirement? How long would we have to keep the second box for if we had to have it?

Also how much should XL broadband be for existing customers? It shows up as £37 on my bill, but that can`t be right if new customers only pay £20! Because I have a loyalty discount I`m paying a bit over £4 less than the new customer individual prices (I think) for TV, broadband, and phone, so still seems OK. I`m wondering if I should still try to renegotiate though.

Best thing is to ring them up and select the option if you want to leave VM to get customer rententions.

I was paying £20 per month for large BB and have upgraded to XL (20meg) for an additional £8 per month
