Virtual Escape Rooms

sj (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 17th May 2020, 14:35

We did an Escape Room a few months back and it was brilliant.
Just been looking for something similar online and there seems to be a few.  They do charge so am researching a bit into which are good.
While doing this I came across a little Harry Potter one (thought Pete may enjoy) and another called Mr-X.
The Harry Potter one was quite quick - but the other I really enjoyed and took a bit longer.

Anyone done any of these things before - recommendations?

I'm sure I read about a VR one somewhere recently... ah yes it was The Room VR, which is similar to the phone/tablet app but a whole room this time.

The HP one was a little too easy, and didn't have that much to do to with HP

The other one was a lot of fun, took me about an hour

The HP one, while not relying on any real HP knowledge, was decent enough but I really enjoyed Mr-X.

I was living one a few weeks ago but they've changed the rules now and it's a lot easier to escape. On Sunday I managed to escape to a garden centre briefly.

Does the 'briefly' include the queuing time?

Did you meet up with anyone?  Maybe take a picnic?

I went at 4:15pm, it closes at 4:30pm, there were three customers in the store, and I was one of them, the other two were a couple. It was a good time to go!

I collected some bags of manure in the back of my car yesterday. Social distancing not a problem. Good times.
