Page 1 of Funeral

I feel awkward in talking about funerals maybe because it's getting closer . .However who is the funeral for the living or the dead? This past weekend I went by invitation only to my friend's funeral , her son was polite to invite me . I saw my friend and I paid my respect n prayer to her. But there were things my friend told me about some family And I must say some display some fake emotions what a show and rudeness ,I waited to leave without connecting with only her son and that was it. Ever been there where you said not for me... Eh

I try to avoid funerals like the plague, as it reminds me that our end of days are inevitable.

In all my life I have only went to my Father, Mother and Father-in-Laws funeral, as there was no way out of not going. I have been most fortunate God willing that no other close relatives have kicked the bucket.

As for dead friends, dead workmates and dead first girlfriend (which really did hit home), a!ways made reasonable excuses, as I make my own peace with the situation away from any funeral. Might be a bit callous, but that's me, and they all know that.

And the one I do want to miss is my own! (Hopefully got a few years back in Oz before then).

Sad for your loss Ella. Anywhoo funerals are never easy no matter the circumstances. You obviously cared for your friend and showed your respects to her memory by attending. Forget the family of your friend and merely raise a wee glass to your friend. You are you and they are not ( Sounds patronising doll but ignore them :) Worrying about others and how they act is fruitless so , again, raise a glass :)

Thank you so much ,it's so great to hear all of your responses. I hope to se England before I died but if I don't make it a live I already gave strict instructions to have my ashes scatter in Wales.💘

All of Wales, or a specific area in mind?

I am going for a scattering of my ashes into the Great Barrier Reef, because my family say its a good excuse for a holiday while they are there :D

Oh gee mm I really can't think of the area as of yet but if I get brave enough and I shall post it here when the time comes. Don't want gossip get carried away in a negative way , it must be me age speaking out from bad episode in life ..💔

My favorite place in Wales when holidaying there, is Portmeirion, a picturesque village created by an architect who brought old houses and buildings back from all over Europe, and rebuilt them there. 

Its the location of one of the best British Si-Fi TV series of all time, 'THE PRISONER' and the series is used as Director studies in USA universities to teach filming, as it was way ahead of its time.

Wow that took me back,way back, what year was that made? I didn't know that was Wales but I was so young . Not now I have to say today I hardly feel any discomfort you were right it's a month since surgery but I was told by Doctor no excercise for now . I missed my stretches and Barr worked out. I hope when I am able to do it , it won't undo the surgery🙁.
