Does anyone know what "Amine" is / are.

amine - n. Chem.
a compound formed from ammonia by replacement of one or more hydrogen atoms by an organic radical or radicals.
[ammonia + -ine]

but, er...I`m not sure you meant this did you. Did you mean `anime` ? Plenty of this sort of stuff on www.animeondvd.com . Not really into it myself, but it`s very specialist animation, usually based around or stemming from stories in Japanese comics....and after saying that I`m bound to be contradicted......so off you go everyone else :-)

Talking of anime, Akira seems to have vanished without trace from the play247 site. Looking at my personal details and clicking the product link (I preordered it ages ago) revealed they`ve sold out! Mind you, it says `order taken`, so here`s hoping...

Funnily enough, I`ve never heard anyone talk about "anime" - they always say "Japanese animation" or "manga". Possibly because they don`t know how to pronounce "anime" ;-)

Yeah - I`m in the same situation with Akira and Play247 - order taken. But I also emailed them to find out if I would get a copy - they replied telling me that they didn`t recieve as many as expected, and are trying to get some more, and therefore to leave my order as it is. Here`s hoping, although, like I mentioned in a different thread, it won`t be the end of the world if I don`t it, but I`ll be a little gutted, because I ordered it on the day they put it on their website! Hopefully, both disks will be released at some point in a plastic case...I think I can live without the tin!

as i understand it manga is the japanese comic book and anime is the animated version of them. there is also hentai which is manga for for open minded adults
