Richersounds have a Sony for a grand and a Marantz for £1250 - I got a 6 foot screen from qxl.com for £50, so don`t worry too much about the "free" screen.

I can recommend mytyres.net - got some Pirelli 215/45s for £70 cheaper each than quack fit were quoting!! They got air-freighted in from Germany the next day - superb!

Try moving the plugs around - I had an awful mains hum from my last sub. Cured by plugging all the amps into the same 4-gang extension.

I would say this is a TV-out not a TV in so no is the answer.
You need a capture card to get stuff in to the PC, but this would be limited to video - I don`t know of a PC on the planet which could capture the amount of data chcuked out by a DVD.

For £599 + VAT I just ordered a Dell with:

1.5Ghz P4 chip
256Mb rambus memory
Cd rom
16 x CD writer
40 Gb HD
32Mb GeForce 2(ok this was an extra £30)
and wait for it.........
a 19`` monitor.
Beat that with a bag of bits......... plus it will all be tested properly by Dell for integration and reliability.........
You also get a copy of ME and Norton anti-virus.

Having seen it I`d pay £50 for it - it`s the best thing I`ve ever bought...

Every time I get the projector going the b-boys go on, It`s mental having them truly life size in your own living room, the mixes of Alive are probably my faves.

Don`t think it`s been on telly. It`s just been released on R2 as well. Play have it.
I also got Chronos which is also by Ron Fricke - not as good, just buildings - no people, but the helicopter ride through the Grand Canyon nearly makes up for it...

This is my fave film ever. It`s a 70mm visuals film man.
It`s a tour of the wonders of the world with a big feck off movie camera, and took 4 years to make.
Lots of time lapse stuff, sunrise over Pyramids, Grand Canyon, Whirling dervishes, that sort of thing...... truly awesome.
Get it from movietyme for £14.

This is a must have in any collection and is my favourite film.
REAL film - not hollywood pish......

Every order I`ve made with them has gone wrong somehow, but they all made it eventually!
They are, however, the best for unusual discs e.g. I buy lots of Imax type movies and they are the cheapest by miles and often the only stockist.

Had a look on DTSonline - the only sampler I could see is Demo disc 4 which looks a bit crap - samples from -the Eagles - Roy Orbison , Sheryl Crow !! and Saving Private Ryan etc.
Anywhere else you can get these..?

CDs don`t crackle if they`re scratched, they just jump.
It sounds more like an electrical problem to me. Try a new lead, try it further away from your surround amp etc. Does it work ok connected to another hi-fi - if it does then it must be interference.
