Dick Turpin is alive and kickin` in the London Borough of Bromley .......£1405 Band F........thank you for my 10.6% increase, i must remember to leave my curtains open this time of night to benefit from the street lighting and save on the electric or buy a cat so it can get stuck up a tree just to call the boys in brown...if they`re not striking! Oh well at least it pays for the war effort...or is it the influx of asylum seekers... it certainly wont benefit my kids if they get the opportunity to live and grow up in this country will it, s***e they`ll never be able to afford to leave home let alone find one to live in that ain`t been given away to people claiming its a bit dodgy in their country so they thought they`d try this one out?

Remember you always spend what you get and sometimes just a bit more, i`d love to save a few beans once in a while, but then with these sort of increases it don`t happen does it? Oh well what the buggers get now they`ll lose in inheritance tax later...trouble is they know it!

Is that the hum of WWII flame throwers ignighting i hear???

Too f***ing much, see my other post!

Wouldnt be so bad if the barstards spend the money wisely but thay dont, bad accountants if you ask me! AND to boot the local police want a 31.5% increase in there budget which muggins here will have to contribute towards only for the f***ers to drive by once in a blue moon looking for motors with no road tax, crime of the century if you ask me.

I COULD rant all night but Ive got to get up for work in the morning, earn a crust to pay these f***ing bills! Not Happy

The Shi*house poet needs a good thrashing, Grafitti ISNT cool.... kiddies!

Band C...£1016.00, I can honestly tell you that my wages have not increased in the last 2 years, my taxes have gone up f*** knows how many times, the services I have received haven`t increased by the 7.9% (this year alone!) this represents over last year, this is just to "maintain"the same levels as last year!
B***tards, the whole rancid lot of them.
ATB...F...

Band C. Almost a grand for a 2 bedroom flat on the 4th floor in Sutton, Surrey (they say that we are in surrey but we are part of the London Borough so we get screwed either way) My missus keeps telling me that other parts of the country are so much less, but looking here it doesnt appear to make that much difference.

Pay rise last year was 4%, Council tax has risen nearly 10% in each of the last 2 years, so much for inflation linked rises.

Car got burnt out in our carpark, took 30 mins for the old bill and firemen to arrive, Whats that I hear you say "maybe they had a long journey to get to you", not a chance they are less than a mile down the road, they could have sent a one legged copper hopping down the road in a shorter time.

I dont remember the poll tax, but it could never have been worse that this load of old s***e. Just an excuse for fat politicians to send themselves on free holida... oops sorry, FACT FINDING MISSIONS IN PRESIDENTIAL SUITES IN EXOTIC COUNTRIES.
We get a bin collection once a week, they want to make that once a fortnight and charge for the pleasure AND STILL RAISE COUNCIL TAX. Bend over and grease yourselves up for next year!

What a load of wucking fankers they really are.

Rant over

Tell me about it. Band B, three bedroom semi in a fairly undesirable part of Bristol (well, next to two very undesirable areas, which makes our area guilty by association) is now £910.47 a year! Bastards! What really annoys me is that they actually asked us if we wanted a raise to help fund local services a while back, and the answer was a resounding no (we pay enough already), but they still went ahead and put council tax up by 9.3%!

Of this, Bristol City Council receive a 7.2% increase from last year, but quite what they are doing with the money is beyond me. Yet more crap projects to "regenerate" the city centre probably (it was fine the way it was, now it`s a concrete nightmare).

The biggest laugh has to be the 33.9% increase for the pi... sorry, police. We often get joyriders from the neighbouring bad areas driving like maniacs around the blind bends and wheelspinning in the carparks in the small hours, yeat if you call the police (the nearest station is about two minutes drive, if that) then it takes them over half an hour to arrive! If they burn cars out it`s the same story, although the fire station is about two-three minutes drive away, so they`re pretty good (when they`re actually doing their job).

The last time the caught anyone around here was because I jumped over my garden fence and grabbed the little sod myself! I`ll never do that again though, because I got zero thanks from the police, and when they came to take a statement they actually insinuated that the PCs I have in my house were stolen because they`re in bits (never mind that I work in IT for a living). Suspicious tossers! Best of all was when my house was broken into and the neighbours called them to report it. They eventually arrived (while I was out) to "investigate", and according to my neighbours they didn`t knock on the door, ort notice that anything was wrong, in spite of the fact that the back window was gaping open and peopel were looting the house. I guess they need to see several masked men with bags covered in "SWAG" before they make the connection.

The only thing I can see that I get for my money around here (and I`m talking about things that affect *me*) is the bin collection, and that seems to be a random event at best. Oh, and I haven`t had a pay rise, I`ve had a considerable pay cut, but I don`t see any reduction headding my way.

This rant will no doubt continue...
