The best music videos..... ever?

Jitendar Canth (Reviewer) posted this on Sunday, 13th April 2003, 16:01

Note, this has nothing to do with musical talent, just visual impact.
Anyway my list in no particular order is

Take On Me - A-ha
Do It With Madonna - The Androids
Did It Again - Kylie (Oh Hell, any Kylie video)
Rabbit In Your Headlights - U.N.K.L.E
Smack My Bitch Up - The Prodigy
Open Your Heart - Madonna
Radio Gaga - Queen
Wild Boys - Duran Duran
Afrika Shox - Leftfield feat Afrika Bambataa
Stan - Eminem
Just The Way I`m Feeling - Feeder
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
Wouldn`t It Be Good - Nik Kershaw

OK some of them are pretty pitiful, but I can`t think of any other videos that have stuck in my mind and Androids and Feeder are pretty recent.

Any ideas?

no contest. Wild Boys by Duran Duran. There just isn`t any real competition. IMHO

(A-ha a close second)

Incidentally, I never saw Richard Ashcroft`s first solo video (Song for the lovers, was it?) but heard there was something very `clever` about it. What was so clever?

Can`t remember fully but I think it was as though it was playing in his room. He then gets up and goes for a pee and the song stops (or goes quiet??) and hear him pee. The song then comes back on again.
Not that clever really..

Peter Gabriel ones are quite good. Sledgehammer was excellent.
Stan - Eminem was very good too.
Just - Radiohead.
Street Spirit (fade out) - Radiohead

Eminem needs to have good videos in order to detract from the fact that his songs(!) are absolute s***e!
