RE: connecting i-pod to JVC UXG30 hi-fi

I saw this in action last month at a jvc training course it may say or not say that it works with an ipod (in instructions)as jvc did not want to encourage you to use the competions mp3 player but he had it working on an ipod mini but it did not display the track names when it was plugged into a tv but apart from that worked fine exept when you plug it in it should turn the hi fi on but he could not get this to work!! he had to manually turn it on and select mp3 input.

RE: How do I remove my car stereo?

Stanz is right or you can buy a pioneer release keys from Halfords or ask the audio guy nicely and he will tell you what you need, if yo have stark controls you will need an adaptor lead for these to work on a new sterio but not compatable with all sterios higher priced sonys are adaptable.

RE: Car NumberPlate Crackdown

As I said earlier I work for Halfords and the abuse we get from customers is unbelieveable we did not change the law write to your MP if you have a problem it is not my fault! what you need is:

if you have a photo card licence all you need is this and a V5

If you have paper licence you need this and a utillity bill or passport and a V5

not really hard to find these is it?

if you have a company car you need a letter from them saying you are the current user.

RE: Car NumberPlate Crackdown

"Also you can still buy blank`s and the numbers and latters so as to be able to "make your own"

Not legally you cant! there is still some places that can sell you a number plate as a sign and if you put it on your car its upto you!. Sticky number plates have be ilegal for a while know. (Halfords worker)

DVD recorder under £200

Was talking to the manager in my local WH Smiths and he said he had been to a meeting about this years xmas products and they have brought a load of dvd recorders and they will be priced under £200 can anyone confirm this?

RE: Once Upon A Time In Mexico

RE: New bike for an eight year old...

No problem Dave, if anyone else has any bike problems let me know :D

RE: New bike for an eight year old...

What you should find is the brake leavers have a small screw on them the more you screw it in the closer the leaver moves towards the handle bar, set it up so your child can reach it then reset the breaks to suit simple when you know how!

RE: Mountain bike recommendations!!!

Stanz had any problems with the bottom bracket on your bike yet have had to replace quite a few. They are not a sealed unit as in the Fury and do seam to fail if used quite hard, make sure you keep your cranks tight apart from that it is a good bike for that price.

RE: PC tuner card help

cheers miles.

RE: Autoglym Products

Have you tried ordering the bigger size bottles from Halfords? I have done this in the past.

RE: Mountain bike recommendations!!!

Have I look at the Carrera Fury in Halfords £549.99 XC bike it has aluminum frame rox shox front forks shimano deore cranks, rear mech, front mech and brake leavers, 27 speed. Very good value you can always upgrade the part to suit your needs could do with some better pedals.

RE: TV Tuner for PC & Cordless KB/Mouse Package

Just seen this thread can anyone help with my question about this tuner card in the computer section?

Thanks.

PC tuner card help

Aldi are doing a card :

PC TV Tuner Card £29.99
Upgrade your computer with this card and access TV, FM radio and teletext to your monitor. The software also enables the digital recording of television programmes onto your hard drive. The unit contains the state-of-the art Philips 7134 chip set giving ultimate reliability.

Is this any good and if I do buy it how do I install it into my computer would I be able to do it as I am not really great with computers just above average knowledge?

RE: Should a 31 year old man ride to work on a BMX?

why not I manage my own cycle shop and you are not the only one mate! one of my staff members rides a raliegh chopper hes 28! I have a BMX and a XC bike. I use the BMX for work alot. What do all your work mates use BMW 3 series would be my bet, but do you use it in the winter? when it is really p***ing it down if you do then you are the daddie.

RE: Best football manager game on the pc?

RE: Your Worst Fashion Mistakes

p.s. I seem to remember some t shirts with slogans about cocaine on them but cannot remember what they said any one else remember???

RE: Your Worst Fashion Mistakes

yeah I had a leather tie at school and my mate had the classic piano key tie!! I have seen a few snow wash denim jackets still doing the rounds do you think some body still makes them or are they originals?

RE: Britain`s Laziest Men

I felt a bit sorry for the chap who slept in the pub with his dog he seemed more broken hearted than lazy. The guy who owned his own pub, you cannot blame him really as his mother in law did all the work for him and he paid everyone else to do his jobs for him so why not get up a one and go play golf. The guy who had his wife wash and dry his hair and turn the tv over for him was a real nasty piece of work and a right lazy bastard if that was my dad treating my mum like that I would kick his arse.

Your Worst Fashion Mistakes

Been looking through some old photo`s and cannot believe some of the fashions me and my friends used to wear and think was cool:

Snow washed skin tight jeans
Mirrowed sun glasses
Adidas Shell Suit (black yellow and white)
White high top trainers
White socks
Baggy jumpers

One lad has just the back of his hair permed I think he copied Chris Waddle, nearly everyone has a least one ear ring not a stud but a big gold loop!! surely there are bigger fashion disasters out there please make me feel better!

RE: Guess what i have got on dvd.?

Some bloke in the pub the other night offered me reloaded and xmen 2 for a £10 told him no thanks but a mate brought them he said the quality was a bit s***... fool!!.

P.S. is Monkey Rimmer any good???

some teachers nick names:

Kinky Corkran

School nick names
