Page 1 of The great wall

Saw it at todays opening, and was an epic fantasy film, with Matt Damon and Willem Dafoe, to name but a few.

Well acted, great CGI, brilliant battles, well worth seeing.

Was in the Odean (sneaked off work to see it in the afternoon) and for the first time in years (for me), the film broke down halfway through. Anyway it was a good time to head for the toilet, and the film started up again within five minutes. Odean actually gave each off us a free guest pass to see any next film (expiry Aug 17), which was very good of them

So really enjoyed the film, especially when the next one will be free :D

It's not a patch on any of the director's native Chinese films. It was more like The Mediocre Wall.

Never seen any of the directors other films, so cannot comment about that.

but I enjoyed the action of this film.
