Because this one is UK based, If I was gonna buy it, I think this is the one I`d go for because you`re not waiting for it to cross the world to get here. (Unless the R2 turns out to be a better release)
CD Wow are probably UK based as well, but I`m not sure, & I`ve never used them.

cd wow are Hongkong based but don`t be put off... i regularly order cds on a sunday before release, and they arrive on the wednesday!!! Amazing cos nearly all the uk based companies seem to take between 7-10 days to deliver.

Beware however their dvds are not alll region specific, some are multi-region and as such your dvd will have to fit this.. but to be fair they do state this in their dvd site...

They are excellent in teh fact that they ship items individually, therefore you avoid the dreaded customs and excise,

Oh yes... DELIVERY IS FREE!!!!

PS. No i don`t work for them or have any link with them other than being a very happy customer!

CDWow have a UK office in Beaconsfield, I think - they just tend to deliver straight from Hong Kong (CDs, certainly). I have also been impressed with them - ordered what was to be Canadian R1 Harry Potter when they advertised it as available on R2 release date - their supplier messed them around and couldn`t get them the discs in time, so they sent out R2 instead, rather than telling us to wait!

CD-Wow are great.

My last CD order from them was three CD`s and all three had broken jewel cases (they were sent separately)

I went on their website and they sent out three new cases from their UK base in a couple of days.

It makes a change from other firms who would say once it`s sent out it`s no longer their responsibility.

Saying that, DVD Boxoffice sent out my order twice after the first one never arrived. I waited the 8 weeks minimum time then requested a new one to be sent free of charge and they did it.

I managed to pick up LOTR DVD for a tenner from a car boot this weekend - I dunno where in the world it came from, it is NSTC format, but not region encoded. I figured I`d probably watch it, let the rest of the immediate family watch it, then sell it on eBay for a bundle and buy the R2 PAL disk when it is released :)

For anyone that wants to get their hands on LOTR, though, be aware there are some disks doing the rounds - and I don`t think anyone can get their hands on one cheaper than that!
