RE: anyone seen hero at the cinema?

saw it at the weekend, and i was absolutely blown away. stunning film.

RE: HMV - In Store Sale

i`m gonna check hmv out tomorrow when i`m in town. usually one or two decent buys early on in these sales.

RE: Play shipping Hellraiser - Lament Configuration Box Set

yup....it arrived safe and well.....the box was bashed to hell (no pun intended), but the contents are all intact.

this set is fantastic.

RE: Anyone bought the South Park season box sets?

i have season one.....the only extras to speak of are the intos by trey and matt, but these were part of the vhs releases so i don`t think they count.

good sets though. nice sturdy boxes.

RE: Play shipping Hellraiser - Lament Configuration Box Set

i hope it doesn`t get damaged.....i`ve been looking forward to this one almost as much as star wars. >:(

RE: Play shipping Hellraiser - Lament Configuration Box Set

RE: What film do you watch the most on DVD?

probably family guy......if i`ve got a spare half-hour, usually i`ll just stick on an episode. end up in stitches every time. :D

aaaand....that`s not even a film. that`ll teach me not to read the question better. heh...

in that case, it`ll be either freddy vs jason or from dusk till dawn.

RE: The Punisher - DVD R1 release tomorrow, any good? *poss spoilers*

thoroughly enjoyed it. not the best marvel film (that honour lies with X2), but it`s up there i think. it was also good to see an action film that didn`t wuss out on the violence. there was a distinctly 80`s vibe to some of the action scenes, harking back to stuff like raw deal and red heat.

so...i`m relieved. i was worried this was going to be another dud, like the dolph version, but it was a great film. i`d love a sequel. :D

RE: The Punisher - DVD R1 release tomorrow, any good? *poss spoilers*

got mine today....i shall report back shortly with an opinion. :D

RE: The Official Star Wars Trilogy Thread - all others will be closed !

well....i ordered mine from amazon.....because they were promising delivery today. and they lived up to their promise. unfortunately, there was nobody in when the postman came.....so it`s now at the sorting office, and i can`t get there until friday.

the waiting is getting unbearable!!

RE: hellraiser lament / puzzle box set

that`s where i`ve got mine ordered......but i`m a bit concerned about how they`re gonna package it up. this is the biggest (in size) item i`ve ever ordered from play, so i don`t know what to expect. i ordered a 24 boxset about a year ago, and that just came in a padded envelope, which was really worn away on the corners by the time it got to me.

RE: Amazon bargain box sets

spend over £19 on amazon though and delivery is free.....

RE: Is that your DVD collection, or are you just glad to see me?

i`ve just broken the 200 mark......and my most coveted? day of the dead divmax version.

simpsons dvd for 99p

just found this simpsons disc on play usa....i know it`s not a full season or anything, but there`s a couple of newer episodes on there.....it`s probably a pricing error, but it appears they are honouring the price.

RE: Hellboy Region 3 - now shipping

couple of people i know downloaded it, they enjoyed it....i was able to resist until i get the dvd, which is incidentally currently packing at dvd soon. can`t wait. :D

RE: Hellraiser Boxset...Oh Baby!!!

awesome......time to bin the cinema club box set.

dawn of the dead (2004)

anyone have any idead which cut is being released on region 2? it`s coming out about a month before the R1 discs, and i don`t really know what, if anything, was cut for the UK release....so i`m guessing it won`t be the unrated version....

cheers for any info.

RE: the guyver

just found the anime on dvdsoon....2 volumes, under a tenner each....

RE: SHREK 2?

i don`t think any details have been announced yet, which is why it`s only listed as having 1 disc.....dvdsoon will be hedging their bets.....

RE: Smacking Children

i was smacked, both of my brothers were smacked.....and we`re alright. it was always used as a last resort, but when it was used it was nothing more than a slap to the back of the legs. one time that sticks in my mind is when my mum was in tears after she smacked my youngest brother when he was about 5 or 6. it was all that could be done to get him under control though.....he was in a horrible temper. and he was smacked.....again it wasn`t a hard smack, but he knew he had to pull himself together afterwards. she felt terrible about doing it, but it was the only thing that could stop him.

our opinions of our parents were never distorted by it.....we knew they loved us, and we always loved them.

anyway....that`s my story. i just feel that every child reacts differently to punishments. it should be up to the parents to decide how to bring them up, not the government.

RE: Film & music merchandise, where??

moviemarket are good....especially for posters for newer titles. although that can be a little expensive.

RE: Know any good Anime DVDs?

cowboy bebop is good. you can only get the movie on R2, the series is only available on import.....neon genesis evangelion is also worth checking out. and if giant robots are your thing, then you should definitely seek out the patlabor 1+2 boxset.....two great films.

RE: HMV Sale.

picked up the bruce lee 30th anniversary box set today for £24.99, cheapest i`ve seen it i think.

RE: What`s your most treasured BOX-SET?

i`ve narrowed it down to either the alien quadrilogy (R2), elm street collection (R1) or the hulk limited box set (R2)
