Synopsis:
You`ll never look at warm apple pie the same way again! American Pie takes a hysterical look at the goal of four `unlucky in love` high school friends who make the ultimate pact: lose their virginity by prom night.

As they try to manipulate their way into the hearts of some of their classmates, their plans often backfire with hilarity. One fails to score with the sexy foreign exchange student, and then makes a last ditch effort with a band member who has an interesting way with her flute, while another is so desperate he actually hires someone to give him a `reputation`.

Follow the raging hormones of four teenage boys and their girls as they gear up for the most important night of their lives... the prom? Sit back and enjoy a piece of America`s #1 comedy hit!

If your under 16 you`ll love this film, if your over 16 forget it. It`s all been done before, and a hell of a lot better

I think that this film was great fun to watch. I didn`t laugh all the way through and thought that some of the jokes were a bit over the top though. The disc is good and the special features are above average. I doubt people over 20 would enjoy this but I know me and my fellow 16 year old friends thought it was a little above average.

I`ve seen this movie about a year ago, but somehow I forgot to submit the review. So here it is - a year late.
This is your typical rude comedy with only a few funny situations and a nice cast.
The video transfer is ok. There are no compression signs and the picture is clear of scratches.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good. The surrounds are mainly used during the loud music scenes.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary, a behind the scenes look, some funny outtakes and some production notes.
Bottom line - a rentable and watch-it-once comedy.

American Pie is about a group of high school friends who make a pact to lose their virginity before/on prom night. The acting is average, the storyline is average and the film is average. Just your average gross out teen flick.

An average selection of extras but the classic quotes extra is rubbish. The commentary is just your usual backslapping affair.

This film is deservedly known as one of the funniest recently made. The plot is simple but one that we all can relate to: Growing up. More correctly, trying not to grow up! The scenes are well known and still funny, the internet web cam and fabled pie "loving" but to name two. Jim`s dad is everything that an embarrassing dad would be plus some more. I have watched this time and time again and still laugh. A modern classic.

The picture is good.

Sound is good too.

Extras are funny but not outstanding.
