    Synopsis:
`The Odd Couple` teamed up 3 years later for this wonderfully witty and heart-warming comedy. `Kotch` was Jack Lemmon`s directorial debut and amazingly it`s his only film to date. Under Lemmon`s superb direction, Walter Matthau excels in the role of the eccentric widower Kotch.
Kotch is a feisty senior citizen who has managed to maintain his vibrancy and zest for life. However, his son and daughter-in-law have grown weary of having the old man around and want to commit him to a retirement home. Steadfastly refusing to be cast aside, Kotch decides to leave but his planned trip turns into a journey of discovery when he stops to help Erica (Deborah Winters) a pregnant teenager. For the first time in years, Kotch feels needed and suddenly Erica brings a whole new meaning to his life.
