Very similar to the R1 edition, with one major improvement - anamorphic enhancement! The difference is obvious, and the film really does benefit from the extra resolution on offer, although the original non-anamorphic transfer was one of the better ones I`ve seen.

Other slight alterations include new animated menus, which are worlds better than the static ones found on the R1 disc. One not so welcome change is that, unlike the R1 disc, you don`t have the option to turn off Oliver Stone`s introduction to the deleted scenes. A minor point, but it would have been nice if they had left this option in.

So, another great R4 disc, which significantly improves upon the R1`s video efforts. Buy!

*My full review of the R1 disc is also on the site. I`ve given the R4 higher marks for video (obviously) and audio (because I now have DD and can appreciate it more).
