how about the hitachi 505e ive just got mine from dixons i dowloaded the firmware from the irondukes web site and bngo macro free and multiregion by pass plays cdr cd mp3 picture is as good as all these players that r listed or if you have a big w store in your area they r sellng the lg3200e for £129.00 one good dvd player for the coin but it doesnt play cdr etc the jvc not a bad machine my friend bought 2 from techtronics but i think the pictures a bit grainy........oh by the way my 505e was £199.99 with 4 free dvds and 9 months intrest free credit:)

just read a review on this budget beast it has a good right up but whats the best is bush never enabled a macrovision encoder to it macro is disabled as standard:)

i bought a hitachi 505e dvd player from dixons connected it via scart but when the dvd outputs picture to tv there is a slight flickering in the bottom left of the screen i took it back to dixons they checked it on a panasonic tv and a lg and this flickering was not noticed they changed the player anyway got it home still doing the same tried mucking about with different scart sockets rgb/svhs tried using rgb to scart lead but no avail at the moment im using it in the bedroom on a basic tv :( i have another dvd a smart 200o on the tv downstairs which runs ok with the tv but i fancied a 505e with it doing mp3 is it possible for a dvd and tv to be incompatible.How do i stand with dixons regarding a refund because there is no fault with the player the tv is a 32" grundig tv only 10 months old any one know what the score is many thanks

im after another dvd player probably looking at about £250 mark is there any places which i can get one intrest free credit which has been modified ie macro/multiregion .or do i go to currys and have to get it chipped any info please?

its a snorter ok its old its been on telly more times than big brother but i love it yes STIR CRAZY is it out on dvd any region ive searched all over but to no avail its a must from my collection any info much app!:)

is dts much better than dolby digital 5.1

my amplifier only supports dd not dts is dts a lot better ive noticed more r2 dvd now have this sound what are the benefits of dts over dolby digital

i find that using my svhs and my smart dvd copies are a lot better in picture quality and sound allways use decent tapes its a must

it could be to do with your leads or the dvd film itself or interference from other video source one of the main reasons on some films in dark scenes aspecially the colour black is the tv defention of black might not meet the same aspect of the colours the dvd is outputting ive noticed this on heat r2 and final destenation i have 2 players a smart and a hitachi and these films pixelation is bad on both on different tvs

cheers bud my tv has 2 scarts av1 av2 my dvd 1 scart out which is composite/scart its just racking my heed in i know that they worked ok before on my old vcr

i cant get it to seperate the 2 av channels i can either copy dvd or sky and not watch the other also how do you rate the vcr in picture quality i was a bit dissapointed and im using svhs tapes cheers.

they do work on a certain level of macro lets put it one way on some copies i noticed dark light throughout the films if you want to keep videos for yourself id buy one if you wanna sell em to yer mates i buy a chipped dvd player or get yours done i also bought a more expensive macro box 48.99 this worked as good as the macro lead i sent it back because it does not disable macro fully as its description i got my money back the macro leads sorted for vcr to vcr ppv off sky digital but dvds all have different levels of protection chow

ive got my dvd and my digibox on av1 on my vcr is i put my dvd onto av2 when i switch to av2 i get nothing at all i can either record off dvd or digibox on av1 on my old vcr i could record dvd on av2 and my sky was on av1 theres only composite to scart lead from my dvd 1 only i cant rember what the configuration was with the previous way i had it but ive tried that many combos i must of tried it it seems the vcr somwhow works different than the other i had any suggestions cheers clayts !

got myself a jvc svhs vcr from currys to replace my mono hitachi al i done was disconnect the 2 scarts from the back removed old vcr put new one in cabinet i can not get it to work like the other vcr pevious i had av2 on tv and vcr and dvd all on one channel and just my sky digibox on av1 and record sky on av1 its doing my head in good style you can either watch dvd of sky but the way it was connected before will not work what is the correct way to set up the leads the tv has 2 scarts av1 av2 the vcr has 2 scarts av1 and av2 although it says in the booklet that av2 on the vcr is for sat from my dvd i have scart. any info please model of vcr is hrs6722ek cheers folks!

my mates got the yelo 800 its spot on rcd discs cdr mp3 everything the pic is good and sound good when these players first come out feb 00 there was problems relating to pic quality etc but know things look sorted every disc i put in my smart and my hitachi this yelo plays as good !

i copied blade which went dark/light all the way through and also city of angels this was last year i have also tried the sonel scart lead which does the same although some other dvds copied ok it could be down to how much porotection there is on the film

anyone got a jvc svhs vcr any good?

ive seen a jvc svhs vcr in currys @179.99 i remember when these use to be 249.00 + any one got one anyone know of anyone got one ? any remarks would be much/app is it worth spending an extra £50.00 to get a svhs vcr rather than a 4 head nicam unit cheers ¬!

i bought one from cpc in preston for 46.00 not bad on most dvds but some it will not remove the dark light macro from some dvds ie city of angels

thanks for the info the tv is a grundig 32 w you can adjust aspect ratios with a button from panaromic 16.9 14.3 etc but nothing auto detect it only happens on a couple of dvds

yes they do work on any dvd with scart output a 9v dc adaptor is req although if your player does not convert ntsc reg 1 dvd to pal 50 you will not be able to record onto vhs but r2 will be ok i have one of these leads on some dvds i noticed on city of angels a slight light dark macro could still be noticed but ive tried a more expensive one for £60.00 and this is about the same best bet get a mod chip or buy a dvd which has macro off all together like what i did chow!
