Offering 1080p up-scaling via HDMI, the recorder also has Super Multi DVD recording to enable you to record onto all types of DVD discs, DivX movie playback and optical output to get digital audio directly to a home cinema system.
The RHT497H includes Progressive Scan technology, relieving the eyes from fatigue when viewing over an extended time period, by producing a flicker-free and high density image. To improve the quality of the recording and playback even more, DVFX technology is included.
