Holy f***ing s***!!!!! its Columbo man!! perfect tv (I am biased with it being a shameless but impeccable nod to TVs best detective) including the murder happening before the main character appears, then the twist comes in, its cast are just fantastic none more than the lead who brings a warmth and humour to the character and her process is hilarious and the guest stars a cookie collection of out there small town eccentrics.

So I binged the 1st 4 episodes now its to 1 a week or I would have watched them all, the end of episode 4 showed a this season clip and boy do they have some cracking guest stars lined up. only negative is its a 10 episode season

its brilliant and I couldn't recommend it enough

Episode 5, best episode so far and by far the most Columbo murder so far, so I love everything about this show starting with the retro credits, the lead Natasha Lyonne who is captivating in a role that the likes of Peter Falk, Angela Lansbury  carried the successful tv Mystery of the week shows that this magnificently carries of so well.

The writing is so strong and script is just wonderful in no small amount due to the wonderful guest stars who get it just right, Judith Light and S Empatha Merkeson have such an incredible infectious bond together that makes it feel like they have known each other for decades and the dialogue goes from hilarious to touching to dangerous and scary in a heartbeat, the fight scene was hilarious as Lyonne got more and more p***ed of.

Episode 6, and I hope this is a trend that continues till the end of the season but again the best episode so far, due in no small feet to the amazing Ellen Barkin who if there is any justice must at least get nominated for best guest star!! but I feel several of the guest stars should be up for awards

The murder again has more twists and turns than a bit twisty thing not even trying to be straight, one of the joys of this show is leading up to the murder you are never sure who is the murderer and who is the victim, definitely the case here although as soon as it happened I was pretty sure who murdered the victim, the humour of this show is very Columbo and listening to Natasha Lyonnes gravely delivery it is 100% Daughter of Colombo right up to the charroot she was smoking that immediately made me smile and the ending was just exquisite

Sooo Episode 7 brought another twist to the original twist which was a superbly crafted storyline and got more clever as it went on, I had never heard of Natasha Lyonne before but thanks to RJS mentioning Russian Doll I binged the 1st season and loved that so once weekend football is done ill hit the second season. will post interview with her and she mentioned she will write season 3 of Russian Doll.

Episode 8 had the master Nick Nolte but also had Luis Guzman, Tim Russ and Cherry Jones and this episode really showed of Lyonnes skills, I knew she was a cracking actor and writer, she's also a producer and she wrote and directed this episode and when you see it you will know what an amazing job she did directing this show with very complex scenes more suited I would say to the big screen.

best line of the series so far, im the head deliverer, your the head deliverer? no I deliver the heads :)

If she doesn't crush the Emmys with this show there is no justice!!

I watched the first couple of seasons of Orange, Pie?? none of them not for me, didn't recognise her from either.
