An enjoyable 5.0.
Two goals and a very fond farewell to a player I know has never been top of your favourites list but I've a massive amount of time for.
Strength of character, huge personality and built out of Titanium bones and carbon steel ligaments cos he was never injured.

Probably a few more there we wont be seeing again. I hope the team that starts next season isn't so different that it loses it's identity but I don' think it will.

A short pause now before we all start the 'Why don't we just offer a few more quid to get (fill in blank)'

EDIT: Huge sighs of relief from Bro-in-Law and nephew I was at the wedding with, both Blues.

Only five points behind the leaders in the end. A really nice game to finish off the season at the Emirates.

I won't deny that Xhaka had a really good season, I'm happy for him to go out on this high. :) Rather this than come back next season and get sent off a few times in key games.

As much as I don't like Arsenal, they have been a breath of fresh air this last season, just hope you come back playing as nice football next season...

Third for my team (Man Utd... and yes I live in the South West!) was so much better than we could have ever dreamed of after the last 5 years of the management merry-go-round, at last we are starting to see a balanced side...

One cup in the bag, and hopefully we will put in a performance next weekend to spoil the hopes of a City treble!

The whole 22/23 season with zero red cards.
That's the team not just Xhaka.

Don't think we're quite ready for the 23/24 thread yet.

Been wondering since I heard Xhaka was leaving whether ESR would be the replacement and there seem to be stronger rumours now.
Definitely not being sold this summer and if he's not going it would be an ideal role for him.

I would love to see Smith Rowe get the game time and level up next season. If he can stay injury free. We do need to sort out our fullback situation, maybe even Tierney gets a good run and Zinchenko moves into a more midfield role where he often ends up anyway?

No idea what is going on with right back, Ben White did a great job there but is he happy there?

In Arteta we trust.

Discussions I've seen/heard suggest centre back and full back are priorities for this summer.
I don't think Tierney will be staying as Arteta's priority always seems to be versatility and although good he's a full back and that's it.
If you think about it White was a centre back who's now right back, Tomiyasu is a full back who plays centre back for his country. Kiwior is a centre back but Arteta had him as full back vs Wolves and he's even played Xhaka as a full back.
With the exception of not playing a shortarse forward in goal I think he'd love every player comfortable in every position.
We could really benefit from a 10/12 year younger Giroud. How often did he pop up in our box defending corners.

I forgot we still had Pepe, what a bargain he was.

Yeh
Worth 77 million of anyone's money.
Not our best purchase.

Rumours we're seriously in for Kai Havertz.
Colour me unimpressed.
