Only time will tell but I'm far more optimistic about Arteta than Emery.
Emery was very much an 'Ok? I'll see how he goes'
You can already see improvements. The players all seem to be far more on board with him and he's got the communication between them himself and the fans pretty well balanced. He's managing to get across what he wants from them very clearly
All of his interaction with the media seems honest, well balanced and with a pleasing absence of BS.
My only worry is that those above him are less able and have less ambition than him. If that's the case we could be watching him manage another club to cups and glory while we continue to wallow mid table in just a couple of years.

That doesn't worry me really, they've shown they are willing to spend big. I think parts of this team just need time, and other parts need replacing, but it's not that far away.
There was a time you'd take drawing away against a top 4 side as a result. We just did it with 10 men, it's hard not to recognise the achievement that is. Granted, it's not the same as drawing against Liverpool this season, but it's a major step up from where we have been lingering.

A quick google sees he's not the usual centre back we sign, as in an 18 or 31 year old. :o

and.....back in the box.
Apparently we can't rustle up 9 million Euros.
How much is Stan's new stadium for his NFL team costing again?
And now for something completely different (In my best Terry Jones)
Well that was well worth the night off to watch.
Speed, attitude, one touch passing spinning them round like tops.
A couple of goals that felt very much like the Arsenal of old. Or old enough to be before Saka and Nketiah were born.
Guendouzi winding up the opposition a treat, enough to get them booing him. Mustafi pinging some good long diagonal passes and more importantly not Mustafiing.
I could go through the team but there wasn't really a bad performance from anyone tonight.
'Mikel that first goal was twenty two passes'
'If we can score in two it is better'
Love that man.
Now we need to beat Burnley for which Auba's back. Then a two week winter break.
A winter break FFS.
How continental.

Yes, it's so nice right now, we aren't constantly debating which Arsenal is going to turn up each game, or how long we'll play being unable to find any sort of way into their box, or how long we go without scoring before they grab one and then all our players' heads drop...
...I mean some of those things we still do, until Arteta shouts at them and they stop doing it.
I think it just feels like... we don't feel lost anymore.

Got him now on loan though, maybe we buy him in the summer if he's good?

Do you rate him? Odd you'd let him go if he was really good, your goal difference is worse than ours!

Apparently he only had a few months left on his contract so if he wasn't going to resign they'll be saving his salary to pay the spurs reject they've bough in for that position.
Whether he's any good I'll leave to admars and Mikel's judgement
