Derby were pretty poor but some of the passing and interplay between Coutinho and Firmino especially was superb.  Great win and another three goals.
Fourth time for three or more goals this season.
Looking good...

Another unbelievable performance at the weekend.  Simply irrepressible at times.
Anyone see Klopp last night on MNF?  Could watch him all night.  Thoroughly engaging as ever.  Seems he was hugely popular.

Great win last night and the manner of it made it all the sweeter.
Like the previous game, a completely different second half performance and thoroughly deserved win.
Barkley's frustrations seem to grow by the week and he's not at anything like the level he should be now, just hasn't kicked on.  Really can't see him staying at Everton if he wants to progress.

I'm not here to gloat, but I'm happy for my workmate who got the coach at 10:00 this morning up to Anfield, I only had to walk next door :)

The booing for Lovren amuses me, I'm glad he did nothing to shut up the away supporters, but Anfield doesn't seem to be the threatening place of years gone by, 3,500 Saints fans made a lot more noise than the home fans.

Not wishing to hijack the LFC thread but Southampton's academy seem to be populating the Premiership and still win matches every season when they've sold the best off.
Let's hope they can be satisfied with the League cup final and take their eye off the ball on Saturday when we turn up for the FA cup match.

So we managed to secure 4th place , Which is a great result even though it wasn't a done deal until the final day of the season.
During the summer break hopefully LFC will spend wisely and improve the squad which in turn will hopefully improve consistently as the points difference of 17 between 1st and 4th is way too big.
Hopefully a more serious challenge next season but with european football on the cards that could be difficult or not .

Maybe we need to be a bit more realistic but we'll wait and see.
It's not easy competing with clubs who spend far, far more every season in salaries and signings than we can do but we managed to finish above Utd who did so and will do again.  Many of these clubs can and do pay £2-300K+ a week to players and we don't.  It's not easy to get a top player to sign but when we do it's because they've bought into the club and manager and not just the big money.
Some have already spent £70m+ and haven't even started yet! :(
