What do people think? I love the whole new look but the pricing for ad free is way too high.

$49.99 a year???? That's like double the cost of a Pro account when the only benefit really is no ads.

tbh, i only access flickr to upload pics these days. tend to use flickriver
to view "interesting" and "most recent" pics.

Haven`t used my flickr account for years. I`ve tended to use Picasa (and pay for extra storage) because it`s a bit more straightforward sharing pics with family. Picasa is being subsumed into Google+ now (=worse) and it`s never been quite what I hoped anyway. Will give flickr another punt...

If you have an existing Flickr Pro account it looks like you'll be able to renew it each year for the same $24.95 price, effectively giving you ad-free at half the cost of the new pricing structure.

Though if that's actually worth doing or not I don't know, but I have till September to decide if it is!
