Do you actually need screen protectors anymore for your mobile (experia Z1 compact). Or are they now hard enough not to bother.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
I'd say it depends on what you're protecting it from.. They're very resilient to scratches from coins and keys etc. but a drop can break them. Most use the bumper type to protect the back from scratches and whole phone from drops.

i always put a matt screen protector on, as smart phones are rubbish in daylight/sunlight, the matt film stops a lot of the reflection/glare.
I've not bothered for years, definitely some sort of bumper protection (especially if it's an iPhone) in case you drop it on any hard surface as that will lead to an instant screen crack.
But modern screens (when I say modern I mean anything made in the last 4 years) are very resilient to minor encounters, and they also have very hi-tech coatings to resist dirt which screen protectors don't.

First thing I order is a wrap round for the occasional inevitable drop but I think you've swayed me on not bothering with a screen cover.
The two year old Sammy that just got traded in had the same screen protector I first put on but the wrap round case was well knackered.

I hate screen protectors, they're 'orrible. My phone screen still looks near perfect after a year of knocks and being stuck in my back pocket.
