Page 1 of 2D shoot em ups

Does anyone know of any good 2D shoot em ups on the PC ? I`ve been playing Xenon 2000 recently and its whet my appetite. Anything like Radiant Silvergun and the like ?

Is emulation the only option ?

Do a search on google for Nippon shooters. You`ll generally get lots of japanese sites but they have some damn good shooters. There`s also Star Monkey by Small Rockets. The demo is incredibly short but its worth picking up the full version given it costs almost nothing.

Tried the Final Burn Alpha emulator?

Games like Dodonpachi, Gigawing, Guwange etc are mind-blowing and retina detaching!

Framerate with this emulator is excellent. Even better with an x-box on your telly!
