Page 1 of Remote control conflicts

Some of the remote control functions for my dvd player (dansai 852) operate some of my functions on my hifi (goodmans), which can be a little annoying.

Anyone got any suggestions (I am otherwise very happy with both of these machines)

Cough up £150 and pick up a lovely Pronto remote!

Thanks for the suggestion, but it isn`t £150 worth of annoyance, maybe about a fiver (i am a tight arse and it is christmas).

I think you are stuck with this problem. I can`t see why the Pronto would solve the issue when all it is going to do is clone the original remote control, therefore cloning the problem.

Just a thought but what if you move them apart so that the remote can`t see both units at once?. it`s worth a try and it shouldn`t cost as much as a pronto either.

how about you sell me your dansai and your problems solved
as i cant get one anywhere

Thanks for all your suggestions, although it looks like i`ll have to make do (they are only minor cinflicts). Oh and beatboy72, as for selling you my Dansai, not a cat in hells chance (best £100 i`ve ever spent), but if you still looking for one you might want to have a look at the Decca ddv2110, I saw one in Powerhouse and it looked very similar to the Dansai and the remote control was identical, is this the same machine?? maybe worth a look, and they have just dropped the price to £109.99.
