I am having a problem trying to find a good 36" TV as well, i have always rented my TVs but i am giving it up this month and just going to buy one, so i need to order a TV within the next 2 weeks.

I thought about the new Philips Pixel Plus TVs which have been given a good write up...this is a review for the 32" version...

I am also thinking about the Toshiba 36ZT29B which has all that the Philips has but with Component connection and Progressive Scan.

I think i may go for the Toshiba as i would like a Progressive Scan TV to test my GameCube and XBox out on as well as my DVD player but i am trying to find a site that has it for a fair price.

I have found a few sites but some dont have them in stock.

I saw the toshiba 36ZT29 for £ 1629.99 at www.rgbdirect.co.uk

The extended 5 yr warranty is £219.00.

Which is better of the two for picture quality( from Philips Pixel Plus & The Tosh) ?

I`ve been a happy owner of the 36" of silver for a year now. It`s truley a perfect box - pricey, but perfect :o)

The progressive scan only works with NTSC input mind, but I have it hooked up to my Pioneer 737 DVD player so it`s fine with region 1 DVDs.

Try contacting the sales guy @ www.mailuk.com for a good price too.

Will still be delighting the eye when all the rest are but memories.

Take a second mortgage if you have to.

Was having a mewsy in the newly refurbished Sony Centre in Leeds last Friday now with added name of "Galleria" Very posh, comes complete with a security guard.

I notcied they had a 36 inch telly with glass cabinet which had been reduced from £2,500 to £1,800 but unfortunately I did`nt make a note of the model no, a saving of £700 which is still out of my reach.
